FORD WARRANTY
New Ford replacement parts/accessories (excluding tyres and Supplier Branded Accessories) are sold with the Ford Express Parts and Accessories Warranty:
- For batteries, up to 36 months national warranty applies from the date of the original retail sale. Refer to the following links for Ford battery warranty T&C's - Battery Warranty & Battery Testing Procedure
- For all other parts/accessories, a 12-month warranty period applies from the date of the original retail sale of that part/accessory or until that part/accessory has been in use, service or operation in a vehicle for a distance of 20,000kms (whichever occurs first);
- For automotive engines, a 12-month warranty period applies from the date of original retail sale of that part/accessory or until that part/accessory has been in use, service or operation in an automotive engine for a period of 20,000kms (whichever occurs first). Fuel Injectors that are fitted in new engine must be new or reconditioned and tested to comply.
Supplier Branded Accessories are not manufactured or warranted by Ford. Any warranty is provided by the third-party manufacturer of the Supplier Branded Accessory.
Ford Licensed Accessories sold and fitted by an authorised Ford Dealer after vehicle delivery are covered either by the balance of the Ford Express new Vehicle Warranty, or by the Ford Express Parts and Accessories Warranty, whichever is greater.
Ford Licensed Accessories purchased and installed by a third party (i.e not a Ford dealership) are warranted by the Ford Express Parts and Accessories Warranty of 12 months/20,000km from the date of purchase.
Proof of Purchase must be provided for all Ford Parts Warranty claims.
Ford and any Ford third-party warranties are offered in addition to other rights and remedies conferred on consumers under any applicable Commonwealth, State or Territorial Statutory Enactment.
There are 2 aspects to a Ford Australia parts warranty claim:
1. Return the part to Jefferson Ford and we submit a parts only warranty claim, when/if Ford approve the parts warranty, the customer gets a replacement part or refunded part costs (not covering remove / refit labour costs).
OR
2. Take vehicle to nearest Ford dealer anywhere in Australia and the Ford dealer carries out the entire warranty process including remove and refit faulty part. Proof of purchase & fitment invoice must be presented to dealer. The faulty part must have been fitted by a qualified mechanical business following correct fitment procedure, and a fitment invoice is required to support this type of Ford parts warranty claim.
